Yuhl Carr, LLP – National Wildland Fire Conference

Our partner Christopher P. Yuhl attended the 15Th Annual Wildland Fire Conference as a special guest of the host firm and co-counsel in the current Eaton Fire litigation, Attorney Shawn Caine.  The annual event, held at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa in Monterey, California, brings together the premier experts in the field: investigators, engineers, technologists, foresters, among other disciplines.  The best wildfire attorneys on both sides of the aisle shared their latest professional views on utility liability and current legislation. We must deal with the obvious massive monetary exposure while also working to keep these utilities solvent. Current research and response to wildfires by municipalities was presented for new housing development risk analysis,  wildfire prevention in construction methods, cost-effective abatement and code enforcement.

A special thank you to Monterey Mayor Tyller Williamson who made a special effort to speak to the attendees following his meeting with the State Assembly to discuss budget needs of California cities with Governor Newsome.
