Our client, a 31 year-old bank officer, was rearended in Hollywood by a corporate employee in the course and scope of his employment. Our client’s pre-existing but non-surgical back pathology was worsened by the trauma of the accident, ultimately leading to a two level fusion complicated by poor and incomplete recovery, complaints of chronic pain and potential for future surgery. The client was totally unable to resume his banking career where he was characterized as a rising star. Defendants agreed to a confidential settlement for $8.7 million.
